Buddy lists & public groups???

    Whenever you view anyone's profile there are two items included that I don't think I've ever found anyone using.

    What is a "buddy list" and why would someone join a "public group"?

    don't know about public groups

    but a buddy list is pretty useless (at least in my experience)... you can add people if you want quick access to PM them, and you can also PM all your buddies at once

    disgust is right on the buddy lists... buddy lists are also used as "unbuddy lists" (ignore lists). The public groups things would let people join groups (that I define). But I don't really see any purpose for public groups.
