Just make a new ad code and add new channel like "dp" and take out the number of the channel and add it to channel field in user cp options :D

Yes, if you added it in both your AdSense account and in your profile.

I have had over 200 impressions with 0 clicks...knowledge is the "revenue" which you will get here on DP.

I second that! I had only one click from DP since I entered my Adsense ID. :D

You need to create a custom channel for DigitalPoint and then generate Adsense code that uses that particular channel. From the generated code you can obtain your channel ID. You should be looking for a 10 digit number that you should copy and paste into the channel ID field found in your Profile Options.

If not many clicks are generated then maybe the whole ad positioning needs some tuning? Whats the point of revenue sharing if there is no revenue to share?

I would recommend trying out some new ad formats and positions. Afterall, thats the essence of Internet marketing ;)

I'd prefer to receive the odd click from DP then have it spammed with ads. I come here for the marketplace and for knowledge, not to make cash.

Nobody said anything about filling this place with ads. Just some experimentation with the existing two ads that are on the forum.

But I agree with your general view PalSys about the bottom line.

I disagree. Three things for you to consider:

    1. The majority of the traffic here is targeted and as webmasters, we are probably the most ad blind visitors around.
    2. Member's first. I know if this place was plastered with random, unsightly ads in unusual places, I wouldn't visit as often as I do.
    3. Generating revenue via this revenue sharing system is not DP's (or it's user's) priority.
I'm sure the majority of people here would agree with me.
