So, you just get a new job promoting a kitchen blender on the web. How can you promote it, get some good advertising on the web? What would you do? Reason i ask is because I came across a website that does what I think is an amazing job. http://www.willitblend.com I thought it was a really good idea... Would ever have thought of something like that myself. Thumbs up to whoever thought of it.
I just happened to see this posted in a newsgroup a few minutes ago. http://www.willitblend.com/videos.aspx?type=unsafe&video=barbie Eric
Not only genius these people have really made use of the viral marketing campaign of a blender into really getting the word out there! This just shows you how viral marketing can improve you, provided you do it the right way!
I love this. After the blending, it just shows that the end result of all consumer products are clumps of dust and dirt.
if you could find a way to apply this to something more sellable then it would be a guaranteed success.
This just goes to show that video marketing really does work. As for 2007 i think that allot more companies are going to be taking this approach to promoting their products. Quote taken from my seo blog "The use of video will become a standard component of online communication. Advertisements, long-distance conferencing and public relations in general will be affected. The advancement of video online will set the stage for a major realignment in the traditional entertainment industry". I am already offering this service to my clients.
"Will it blend?" has already become a household phrase in my house when someone uses the blender, powerful marketing
In case you missed it, they eBay'ed the "blended" iPod for charity. The videos are hilarious - content is king!
