Is The PR Update Here? Or Is It Me?

    I was checking the PR of some of my site's pages today and noticed that some of the more popular pages on my page are PR 5 or 6, even though the site as a whole only ranks PR 3.

    This is just speculation, but most of these items were created a little before or a little after the last big PR update in July. With that in mind, it would be impossible for these pages to attain such high PR so quickly. Even if they did get 3,000 backlinks overnight, it would still take Google quite a bit of time to process the links and apply them towards the pages' PR.

    I'm a SEO newbie, but it seems to me as though this is an indication that the next PR update is currently in its beginning stages. It seems as though Google is starting to hand out PR to my most popular pages and hopefully that PR will trickle down to the rest of my site. In addition, Iwebtool predicts pcfastlane.com will be PR 6 after the next update.

    Please let me know if I am gravely mistaken.

    well my PR toolbar is showing unranked for many ranked pages .. does that mean something ?

    My sites are jumping up and down as well. propecianews.blogspot.com gained 35 backlinks within day, another site just disspear from 35th possition in google god knows where...
    Strange...maybe its just halucination..my first PR update tough.

    Google should start updating its toolbar PR between Jan 1st and Jan 17th yes its been along wait but hopefully will be worth it been working on my sites 6 days a week since the last update.

    No PR update is going on. But I have noticed strange results from various prediction tools in the past 24hrs. Looks like somthing is happening.

    Google does not seem to stick to set pattern as far as updating the PR toolbar is concerned. They use to do it on 3 month cycle but now its much more irregular.

    They do not upgrade the PR always. They love to down grade as well. ;)
