So I've built a full CMS which will be hard to review until I've polished it off and fully released it as open source But I'm using it to build sites One of those sites is qa-prep.com the other is qa-example.com qa-prep has a tutorial area, and assessment area, and something like a Duolingo style journey nodes (which is customisable). The idea is, a test lead can customise you career journey (add core tutorial/assessments or their own) to a journey... and they can basically mark it off as you progress I've added a few tutorials (I do automation, dev and test myself, so I can build these for my own testers I lead too). I'm also building sites around it in the same niche (qa-example.com for tests data and apps to automate against). They are basic dark mode right now, let me know, constructive criticism welcomed
Interesting project. The journey node idea is a nice hook for QA learners. Two things that usually help sites like this early on: let people try one short assessment without signing up so they see the value first, and build one page per common search like "manual testing interview questions" or "selenium practice exercises" that leads into the matching journey. That gives you search traffic while the CMS is still being polished. Who is the main audience, career switchers or people already working in QA?
You're right.. and they can do this, but what I havent done is made it obvious they can do this It's actually a hook, they do the assessment (and at the end, they get asked to sign up to view their score), but you're right its not obvious you can do that from the front page, I'll fix that focus is on i) Leads to teach their testers (already working in QA) i) Testers already working in QA (that want to progress their current test career... or maybe take a new direction)
