Sharing a short checklist we use when building B2B contact lists for outreach in India:

    1. Define the ideal customer first: industry, city, company size.
    2. Target designations, not generic inboxes: founders, directors, heads of sales/HR/procurement.
    3. Segment the list and write a different first message per segment.
    4. Keep data fresh, since people change roles often.
    5. Respect opt-outs and India's DND rules for calls and SMS.
    6. Track reply and meeting rates per segment and drop what does not work.

What has worked for you when prospecting Indian B2B buyers? We work on this at Starleads and would love to hear other approaches.

A few additions that save a lot of wasted sends. Verify every email address with a verification tool before the first campaign and remove role addresses like info@ and sales@ unless you have nothing better, since bounces above a couple of percent will damage your sending domain quickly. Send from a separate domain or subdomain rather than your main business domain, warm it up slowly, and keep the daily volume low at the start. Put the reason you chose that person in the first line (their role, their city, a recent company change), because a generic opener gets ignored even when the list is accurate. Always include a clear opt-out line and honor it immediately, and keep a suppression list so nobody gets emailed twice after unsubscribing. Then compare reply rate per segment after the first batch and drop the segments that don't respond.
