I don't know about web design, but I know of quite a few programmers and software engineering firms who are now offering FDE (Forward Deployed Engineers) services to bring AI automation into a company's business processes. It is the hot new service and title. It is one thing to generate code with AI. It is entirely another to ensure that it is fully integrated and working correctly.
He/she should up skill to AI development, or if that's not possible, network administration and Cybersecurity are good alternative options.
