Hi all, To run your forums, which SMTP provider are you using? To send out registration emails, password reset emails, topic notifications etc ... ? Not for newsletters.
For a forum I'd pick Postmark or Amazon SES. Postmark keeps transactional mail on its own streams so resets and registration emails don't get dragged down by someone else's bulk sends. SES is cheaper at volume but you do more of the setup yourself. Either way, set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC first.
I am using KingSMTP.com (this is my own product) You could say it’s a Postmarkapp alternative but accepts crypto and doesn’t require any KYC (privacy focused)
Postmark or SES for forum mail, hands down. Postmark handles signups and resets out of the box. They keep transactional stuff on separate streams too. SES costs less, but you have to deal with bounces yourself. Definitely send from a subdomain like mail.yourforum.com. Saves your main domain if a spammer slips in.
