Hi, Its Alan, I need help and support from my wordpress website as I don't know how to use Yoast much. Is anyone here that can help me? And also I am on a low budget. My website is about art, science and technology. Any help? Thanks
Hi Alan What part of Yoast are you struggling with? How far have you got through their documentation? You've posted on the discussion part of the forum so we will help you to help yourself. How much content have you got up on your site, how often is it updated? Would you describe your site as a copycat or is the content genuinely unique, things you've personally experienced and thought about?
Hi, I post content using Ai everyday from copilot, what I am struggling with is that I don't get visitors sometime I can see them but they don't register to become a member and talk about art, science and technology.
Why would they when they can use Ai to get the same content without visiting your site? Google isn't going to reward a copycat or Ai site with traffic.
Hey Alan, I'd just run through Yoast's setup wizard first, then practice filling out the title tag and meta description on a single post so you get the hang of it. Trying to optimize the entire backlog all at once will drive you crazy. If you do hire someone, paying them for a quick 30-minute screenshare to walk you through your own dashboard is probably the best bang for your buck.
No problem, I'll make it easy.A "keyword" is just what people type in Google. Example: if you write about "black holes", your keyword is "what is a black hole".For your site gazalis.xyz do this:In WordPress, open your postScroll to Yoast box at bottomIn "Focus keyphrase" type 3-4 words about your post (example: "cool science facts")Use those same words in your title and first paragraphTell me what your last post is about and I'll tell you the best keyword to use for free.
What fresh hell did I just visit? You shouldn't need those twirling dots while your page loads. If the performance is that bad then fix it! Try to find someone/an AI that can ensure your headlines are easy to read. Add content - a transcript? beneath so that the indexing bots (googlebot) have something to work on. Your site has a side panel that scrolls but the main content doesn't until you reach the bottom of the sidebar. You need to fix that. Read up on Google's minimum contrast requirements - you'll be penalised In mobile view why do you waste valuable space with the date and time and control buttons?
Alan, I'll be honest — the AI content is the real problem here, not Yoast. sarahk hit the nail on the head: if people can get the same content from an AI without visiting your site, Google has no reason to send them to you. Posting AI articles every day with no original insight and no keyword strategy just won't rank, however you set up the plugin. If I were starting over on your site, I'd stop the daily AI posts and do this instead: pick one topic you actually know something about, write about it properly yourself (one decent post a week beats seven AI ones), and learn the basics of keyword research — start with just thinking about what you'd type into Google. Then sort the technical stuff sarahk flagged, because a slow, hard-to-read site won't rank even with good content. And if you ever decide you'd rather pay someone than DIY it, at least know what a proper engagement should look like first. Any decent provider starts with a real audit, not a quote — and they should be able to tell you exactly what's included each month and how they report on it. Have a look at a breakdown of what a full SEO engagement typically includes — when audit, keyword research and on-page work are listed as separate concrete deliverables, that's a good sign. Vague monthly 'SEO packages' with no specifics are the opposite. But real talk: at this stage you'd get more from learning the basics yourself than from hiring anyone. Get the content and the fundamentals right first, then think about whether you need help scaling it.
Yeah picking 1 topic and blogging about it would work better, than trying to rank for many topics/subjects altogether.
