Peace for everyone. I make the new section for my free marketing research services, about the domain names, which are available for registration. www . leak . info / Internet marketing research gratis For the test, here is (attached file) the list of the top 1000 domain names, which have no DNS records, according to the combined citation weights of the web pages with incoming links to these domain names. These domain names may be simply not delegated, may be in the redemption state, in the pending delete state, or may be available for registration. The question, which domain extensions does the public want? I already explore the most popular domain extensions, but I can not know everything, especially about the national (country) domain names. Thus, any advice may be useful.
Nice idea. .cn, .au, .jp, .br and .pl could be good ones to add next. Would be interesting to see how different the results look across those markets.
Cool project, Artisan. Ranking by citation weight of incoming links is a much better filter than raw link counts. One strong editorial link from a real site is worth more than a pile of directory junk, and most expired-domain lists don't weight for that. Two things I'd add from chasing dropped names myself. First, no DNS records doesn't always mean available, like you mentioned it can be redemption or pending delete, so I'd verify the most promising ones against a live availability check before spending time on them. Second, citation weight still won't tell you whether the linking pages are real or spam built for the previous owner. A quick look at the anchor text and the linking domains' own history saves a lot of disappointment. Seconding nicenic on adding more country extensions, that would be a great follow-up.
