RunSnack — The GPU marketplace that fits in a link. No accounts, no cloud, no fees.

    Hey folks,

I've been lurking here for a while and finally built something worth sharing. It's called RunSnack — a P2P GPU sharing tool that works with a single link. No accounts, no KYC, no platform fees, no central server logging your sessions.

The idea came from a simple frustration: my friend's RTX 4090 and Jetson sit idle 20 hours a day. Another friend needs a GPU for 2 hours of ML inference. Why is there a middleman between them taking a cut and collecting data?

    How it works:

    1. Host downloads a script, runs it, gets a shareable link

    2. Renter opens the link in any browser → instant GPU terminal (xterm.js + WebRTC)

    3. Negotiation happens on our Discord — price, payment method, duration

    4. Everything runs inside a sandboxed Docker container (read-only, privilege-dropped, wiped per session)
No signups. No cloud bills. No tracking.

RunSnack vs RunPod — the honest comparison:

RunPod is a landlord. RunSnack is a public park. One charges you rent. The other gives you the space and you make the deal.

I'd love to hear from the DigitalPoint users' opinions!! :p

Yeah it depends though on your specific country's electricity costs to make it work. Plus hardware wear and tear is fast and unforgiving.

Totally fair — electricity and wear are real costs, but that's exactly why we don't set the price. Hosts know their hardware and rates better than we ever could, so they decide what makes it worth their while. We just give them a direct line to people who actually need the juice. No middleman taking a cut means they can actually turn a profit instead of competing with big cloud providers on race-to-the-bottom pricing
