Father's Day is coming up, and I was thinking about online assets. If you had to pass one digital asset to your kids or family in the future, what would it be? A strong domain, a website with steady traffic, an email list, a brand, a content site, a SaaS project, an affiliate site, or something else? The practical question is whether the next person could actually keep it running. A domain or website is much easier to pass on if they know where it is registered, when it renews, where it is hosted, and how the email/DNS are managed. What would you choose to pass down?
Does Father's Day in China fall on the same day as in the US? The best thing you can do for your kids is to let them develop their own skill set. If they want to take over the family business - great, but they might not be all that excited about doing what you do business-wise. Some may disagree, but financial inheritance (investments and so on) is one of the best things you can leave for your kids, rather than a business or a domain name. So, work your ass off, save up a ton of money, and let your kids choose their own path.
