Someday you'll slip on that old jacket, reach into the pockets and pull out that faded mask from the COVID era, lovingly reminiscing about the good old days.

And you will then tell your grandchildren a cautionary tale about how healthcare professionals lost all kinds of credibility by kowtowing to the crazed control freaks by insisting on practices that scared the low-information types into doing stupid things while providing little to no benefit.

I sure hope I'll have grandkids someday. Do you have any? I'm pushing 60, and so far, no grandkids.

I know we're both joking, but I have this foreboding feeling that much darker times are coming, times that will make the COVID pandemic feel like a walk on the beach compared to the chaos we might face. What does your gut or your educated guess tell you? The decline is happening and no one can deny it any longer. But how low can the US dollar and economy fall before America can no longer absorb the damage?

Just the other day, I was at Hobby Lobby and I'd say 90% of the merchandise is made in China. If China told America to go F yourself, many businesses would collapse.

I do have my first grandchild who just turned 2. He is a lot of fun.

There certainly are dark signs on the long term horizon. The crazed leftists, many funded by our enemies, are pushing hard to destroy the very things that made the U.S. great and replace them with beliefs and practices that are not only proven stupid but very dangerous. We also are getting closer and closer to the tipping point where there are more takers than makers and more low-info voters than not and that is a very worrisome trend. That said, if we can finish this episode with Iran and get oil prices back to where they were headed earlier this year, I believe that the economy is primed for a big, big growth period due to a number of social and business factors, including technology (e.g., AI, robotics, space exploration, etc.) Also, on the bright side, the leftist, swamp-backed Fake News continues to lose its power to push the false narratives that the Left relies on and even the totally corrupted education system is beginning to crack as more and more people leave the public school indoctrination camps and move to private charter schools. Even the big bastions of crazed academic leftism, the liberal universities, have begun to see declines in their credibility and their student applications are declining.

As a consequence, I remain optimistic and hopeful, despite the dark clouds circling about right now.

The world is totally upside down. I live in Europe and things aren't better here... I imposed myself a golden rule since a few months = don't watch news more than one hour per day. I realized that continuous bad news took a toll on my mental health and I started being anxious or feel depressed for no reason. I don't know if it's a quality or a flaw, but I'm far too sensitive. I'm like a sponge and absorb everything, overthinking things.

I don't worry about anything, don't lose sleep because I don't need any. I can function without it and often do. When you have $$$ and it's in brick and morter then why worry at all? And it's in 3 countries, Canada, the U.S. and France. I'll always have a place to go to, and let's not forget about the gold bars.;) My GM stocks that I bought when GM was suppossed to go belly up and were deemed worthless so many years ago, are doing well.
