It's been a while since I've used this forum. I've missed it! I'm Shawn Gossman. I've been a webmaster for a long time. In the 90s, I started making HTML static websites. Then, a few years passed, and I started using the fancy phpBB version 1 and got into the forum space. I still run forums now, even if they're not as popular. I run a few forums using XenForo, a few using the new vBulletin 6, and some forums using MyBB/PhpBB3/SMF. The free software ones are really just to play with the software. I run a forum admin forum, so I think it's better if I'm familiar with different software. Other than that, I blog a lot. I have a few weekly blogs. My blogs pay for my website hobbies, ads, and other passive income sources. I'm the community manager of Copyblogger. We run a paid community component and have around 1,500 members. I'm a webmaster for an NPO as well. My day job is in casino surveillance and investigations. I'm a 40 year old guy, married, and I live in southern Illinois. I'm a big outdoorsman. I hike, bike, kayak, go spelunking, and camp every chance I get. That's me in a nutshell. I hope to be more active on DP!
