ChatGPT functions as a search engine by aggregating, interpreting, and delivering information on demand, even though it does not crawl the web like traditional search engines, I think its a big part of moving forward for online content creators...
It's not a search engine but it is "a big part of moving forward". Search engines now use LLMs in their results but that probably just means we need a new name for the type of page that incorporates both a trad search engine and LLM. When speaking to regular people search engine will do, but for those of us impacted by the changes we need to use the right words.
Yes, and this is what I'm talking about. I don't think we are all utilizing the true power gpt offers when sending us new sales.
I think ChatGPT can be considered a search engine, it serves all the purposes a search engine does so why wouldn’t it be..
Surely its not our traditional keyword stuffing, seo optimized title/description etc.. but in that big brained app is millions of users asking questions and chatgbt is provideding solutions and answers we need to be a part of.
Got to disagree here... Chatgpt is considered to be an answer engine and NOT a search engine. There's not a single AI who thinks by itself and gives exclusive or personalized answers. They just scrap the entire web, with google results as their main target to give us a direct answer. In my humble opinion, that's where Google made a huge mistake a few years ago. It wasn't evolving as a answer engine and many results in the serp don't always match the search intent. People are being more and more impatient, wanting quick answers to their queries. If someone types " How do I find sleep when being anxious ? " and find several Ads + organic results with mattress, that user will simply change his search habits and move away from traditional search engines to AI profit. Another example I could take is my child who is in college. As soon as he's stuck in a homework, he instinctively asks chatgpt for help and doesn't use a search engine. I do think that SE will lose their monopoly in the future.
