As my name suggests, I love animals. So if it's allowed, I'll share a few pictures of mine. These are my current 3 Bernese Mountain Dogs. We had two others but sadly lost both in the last 2 years. This is Allie, her 9-month-old brother Mack, and 9-week-old sister Trixie.
Yes, we said good bye a year ago. We travel too much to have another right now, and it breaks my heart! Those were pretty big paws to fill, so it's probably good to have a gap and not expect the next pup to be a "replacement".
My condolences. We lost our dog Archie 2 years ago and I still cry. Then we lost Millie last year and I still cry. But we finally knew it was time to get another and we ended up with 2. I hope when the time is right you get another pup!
My condolences as well. A pet can never be replaced. Each one finds his/her own unique place in your heart.
She'll give Allie a run for her money but we will slow her down as she grows. Right now she can eat all she wants. And her weight gain is right on point. She's doubled in size in less than 3 weeks LOL.
How are the cats reacting to her? Peaches used to help me 'train' the girls (my Chihuahuas). She'd 'bat' them when they were misbehaving.
She plays with them. The cats are used to puppies and dogs so they are like 'oh no, not another one.' A few look for her and play.
I am not much of a dog lover, but my wife and kids are in a big way. Here is a picture from a few years ago in which she is dressed up for Halloween. She was a big hit in the neighborhood that day:
Unfortunately, I can't really get a pet right now (but, I plan to get a cat in the near future) so, you will often find me in Pets Threads just to look at all these cute little puppies and kitties! Thank you all for sharing the photos, they made my day!
