SEO is not fake, but it is MATHEMATICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for SEO to deliver what SEO parasites promise, making SEO promises FAKE.
What did they mean by "fake"? SEO (white hat) is all about gathering traffic to your website and of course some activities work good, some other bad for your position. There is an algorithm which ranks website and you do what you can to get "in his eyes" the best score.
SEO can be considered a quality aspect of a website. It is the art of making information easy to find for people who want to find it.
SEO is not fake. Google relies on content. As long as google is around there will be content an people doing keyword research to look for info and solve problems. SEO is a long term play.
Actually SEO is not fake it is very important for driving traffic to the website. And probably if you can rank on the first page of Google you will get a ton of traffic. Also ranking on the Google requires a lot of effort you have to build backlinks, you have to have proper articles and a lot more stuff. And it also take a long time to rank an article on the Google When you are going to rank your website it is going to take at least 3 to 6 months. But at the same time you should not only be depend on the SEO because a single change in the algorithm of the Google will take your site down from the first page. You should also have social traffic coming from Facebook , YouTube. You should also have an email list. If possible you can also run ads to your website. So even if one of your traffic sources will no longer be available then you will still receive the traffic from 3 other different areas .
Google itself (the elephant-in-the-room search engine) posts tips on creating a good website. Following those tips will help you "optimize" your website. What is fake is the many so-called SEO "experts" who don't have a clue about genuine optimizing for the search engines. P.S. There are some true SEO experts out there. But be wise in choosing those whom you listen to. Make sure they are proven and widely recognized. Some of the stuff you read on forums, including this one, is nonsense and sometimes harmful.
Horse manure. It does NOT take a lot of effort to get ranked. All that is needed is to submit your site to the search engines to be indexed. How hard is it to cut & paste your link into Google Fetch then ask for indexing? It does NOT take a long time to be ranked on Google. Your article is INSTANTLY ranked at the SAME TIME that it is indexed. Anyone that takes 3 to 6 months to get ranked is an EXTREMELY SLOW TYPIST, typing MAYBE ONE character every WEEK!
I think forgot to mention that i mean ranking on first page of Google for keywords. yeah you are absolutely right article will be ranked instantly but not on the first page and on 2nd page you will get traffic literally like 10% or even less.and after 2nd page of Google you may hardly get 1 or 2 visitor from google search.
Yup, you did. Getting ranked on the first page of Google cannot be that hard IF YOU HAVE UNIQUE CONTENT that the visitors WANT. According to Google my AVERAGE keyword ranking is at position 7.4 which happens to be on the first page. According to my customers, I consistently have one, two, or three hits on the first page of Google results when they search, often with one of them in position number one. Been that way for over twenty years and the ONLY thing I have done is CONTENT, CONTENT, CONTENT.
If you mean SEO to Search Engine Optimization, then it is not fake. You must have to do optimize your website for popular search engine. If you mean SEO to Search Engine Optimizer, which refers to professionals, then there might have tons of fake SEO.
SEO is like the backbone of a website that helps it securing the position on the front page of search engines. Still, we can't deny that the whole tactics of search engine optimization are not legitimate.
SEO is not fake. It is a real method used to improve a website's visibility on search engines like Google. SEO involves using the right keywords, optimizing your website, and building links to help people find your site more easily. While some people may not understand how it works or might try to sell fake services, SEO itself is a proven way to increase web traffic and improve rankings. If done right, SEO can bring long-term results.
You're right to question their claims. SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a legitimate and effective strategy for improving website ranking and driving organic traffic when done correctly. It involves optimizing content, keywords, backlinks, and technical aspects to align with search engine algorithms. While some outdated or unethical tactics (like keyword stuffing or buying links) can be ineffective or penalized, proper SEO, backed by data and best practices, consistently boosts visibility and engagement. For example, quality content and authoritative backlinks can significantly improve rankings on Google. If those guys dismiss SEO entirely, they likely lack understanding of modern, ethical SEO strategies
