Do you guys find yourselves disliking humanity more and more as the years go by.How superficial they are, how dishonest they are,how stupid they are.The benefits of being around and having contact with people are decreasing more and more.
I agree with the gist of your post. I am what can be described as a 'friendly recluse'. I appear friendly because I have renters/tenants who I have to deal with as well as business partners and contracters. But deep down inside they all disgust me as I look down on some, and can see through the hypocrisy of others. When the day is over I shut myself off from the rest of the world by hiding behind the sanctuary of my 6 foot walled home. I let the answering machine take all calls and my cellphone is off, and I do not check my e-mails until next morning. I don't like people either, never did.
Honestly, I get what you mean. It feels like people are getting more self-centered and fake, especially online. But at the same time, there are still good, genuine people out there. I just try to focus on those who bring value and cut out the negativity.
"People" are stupid, disgusting, and generally suck. That's why I try to avoid crowds, heavily attended events, etc. I try to zig while "people" are zagging. Individuals vary and some of them are good and good to know. You just have to know how to find and associate with such individuals.
It’s understandable to feel frustrated at times, especially when we see a lot of negativity in the world. People can definitely be superficial, dishonest, or make decisions that seem unwise, but it's important to remember that there are also many individuals who inspire us, make meaningful connections, and show kindness. Sometimes, it helps to focus on the smaller, more positive aspects of human interaction.
This does the rounds on facebook every so often - because it resonates with so many of us. I guess thats why teens have massive friend groups, 50yo don't.
I think it’s also important to remind myself that there are still good people out there. The negative stuff tends to stick with you more, but there are moments when connecting with others can still be meaningful. It’s all about finding those people who aren’t caught up in the superficial stuff.
I agreed. I have many friends but they talk to me only when they are in need of something. Even I started hating myself too, I know self love is more important but I am now a person who doesn't have any interest in anything, just living (don't know why?).
I know the feeling ,as more time pass as bad and envious people became and develop so many faces and you cant trust anybody these days
I've evolved from being defensive, to acting arrogant, to being a loner, all the way to becoming a psychopath. We psychopaths are manipulative, charming, intelligent, but are devoid of any true feelings. I will gladly blame this crappy world for creating the thing that I've become.
You forgot - self-centered - rude - obnoxious - utterly lacking in class I see it all the time...idiot drivers who think they can drive however they want without regard to anyone else, people who in public will cut right in front of me without so much as an "excuse me," people blasting their "music" ridiculously loud, the list goes on and on. I think the fault is largely with so-called parents who don't discipline their kids anymore...why then should we be surprised that these people continue to act like spoiled brats as adults? The frustrating part is that, although they seem to be breeding like cockroaches lately, they are still in the minority; I think the majority of people are OK. But as they say it only takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch and wow are there a lot of bad apples out there.
