How to login into a google account without the 8-digit backup code

I have 2-Step Verification ON for my google account where I have to provide an 8-digit backup code to login into my account. The problem is that I lost my backups codes and I now only know my email and password. Is there a way to login into my google account without the backup code?

Try the Google Account Recovery page, it might help you regain access by verifying your identity in other ways. If that doesn't work, consider reaching out to Google Support for further assistance.

I tried with Google account recovery and it asked me for the 8-digit code there as well. I am not sure, how can we get in touch with Google Support to recover a Google account. Do you have any information about this?

Try visiting their Account Recovery page for more assistance. They typically provide a series of steps to help you regain access, so don’t lose hope!

Thanks for your help. I actually tried Account Recovery once and it asked for the 8-digit code again. Now I am waiting for 7 days to try it once again as someone told me to wait for a week before trying this again.

You do not have to verify the accounts with the double factor, if one loses the cell phone, you lose the account.

In my opinion you have already lost count, and I don't think there is a way to recover it.

In this case, the best approach is to remember the 8-digit code. Is your account not set up on another device?

I don't think so. I was only using it on my laptop.

Did you contact Google Support, not just use Account Recovery? If they can't help, then unfortunately, it might be a lost account.

If you've lost your backup codes, try using the Google Account Recovery page to regain access or use a recovery phone number/email if you have one set up.

try signing in using an alternative method for 2-step verification, such as the Google Authenticator app, an SMS code, or a trusted device. If none of these options work, go to the Google Account Recovery page and follow the instructions to verify your identity

If you've lost your backup codes, you can still attempt to regain access to your Google account. Google typically offers other recovery methods, like using a phone or authentication app linked to your account. If those options aren't available, the account recovery process will guide you through verifying your identity in other ways. While it can be frustrating, with patience and the right information, you should be able to restore access to your account.

Yes, you may still be able to get into your account. Here are some things to try:

Use a different verification method – If you set up 2-step verification with a phone number, Google Authenticator, or a security key, try using one of those.
Try account recovery – Go to Google's Account Recovery page and follow the steps. Google may ask for other details to verify your identity.
Check for saved devices – If you have a phone or computer where you are still logged in, you may be able to turn off 2-step verification or get a new backup code from there.
Contact Google Support – If nothing works, Google may ask security questions or use other methods to verify you.
If you get back in, make sure to save new backup codes in a safe place.
