Thus far the traffic seems to be down by no more than 15% for the last few days, which is pretty good.

I think every site topic has its ups and downs.

Not everyone sits on their hands around xmas time. I find that sales for my products are way down between the 20th and 25th but from the 26th onwards, they pick up again.

I got 3054 (normally 8-10k) visitors last year on xmas day with a very interesting trend that showed low visitors in the morning, steadily increasing all day with peak at 10pm-midnight.

I have a baseball site and I was still able to pull in some revenue.

I expect it to be a very good day. Even though my site is not a product selling site. My google traffic has been increasing great and I don't expect it to stop on Christmas. Maybe I target scrooges :p

Some of my content sites have been gradually getting less and less traffic although i'm still moving up in SERP's. So i imagine it'd be a slow one

Yep, I think content sites will be slow immediately prio and on christmas day. Things might not pick up until Wednesaday when everything gets back to normal. At least thats what I am hoping, any.

Traffic seems to be down anything between 15-30% over the last few days compared to the same day last week. Today (Sunday) seems even worse compared to last Sunday, I acan't imagine what it will be like tomorrow.

I think shopping sites, or any ecommerce type sites might do rather well, though. I think everyone is going on Amazon andt he webistes of big name retailers like Wal Mart, Best Buy, etc.

In the USA many kids are stuck at home trapped in the house over Christmas day and Christmas break.

For many this weekend, the internet will be an escape from the fam, a good way to spend their Christmas cash or to shop out what they are going to get when they send back their gifts they bought from their favorite e-commerce website.

Last year the 25th was a decent shopping day for our main e-commerce client. Of course the 26th was even bigger.

Yes, ecommerce sites will no doubt do well. This period will probably the busiest time of the year for many.

Today, the day before Christmas, traffic has dropped off the table! Predictable.

Jim I think it largely depends on what your demographic is.

My stats are as normal today and its Christmas Day here right now, and most of my traffic comes from here.
Looks like alot of people are avoiding those boring family get togethers :p

My early numbers on Christmas morning here in Oregon, USA, are way down! Nothing new there; it's Christmas Day.

Traffic was actually about normal on Christmas Eve, only slightly down on the rest of the week (which is normal for a Sunday anyway). I expected it to bomb a bit more. Maybe some people just hate Christmas, and avoid it by surfing the net?

I have had records earnings at the start for December, but as Christmas got nearer so my stats increased, but my sales decreased and Decemeber is now turning out to be one of my lower earning months.

Christmas day has now passed and my traffic is about 35% to what it normally is on a Monday.

It is not a total disaster though as I have still earn't some money.
