I am hoping this was the correct forum to post this. I did my best to figure it out! I am feeling like I need to hire someone to work on getting more traffic to my site and have no clue where to start. I don't just want to shell out more money to Google for more adds. I would like someone who would work on getting better organic and shopping rankings/results. What type of professionals help with this? I need to be pointed in a direction. thanks!

We have a section here where you can ask for an SEO review and that might give you an idea of the tasks that need to be undertaken. My personal opinion is to focus "on page", social media, and on sensible link building that looks natural and be extremely conservative. My fear is that you'll find a link builder who wants to create free profiles and you'll end up with a lot of very spammy content that will be very hard to remove.

I don't want to get too far OT in this thread, but this is a common marketing ask I hear all the time. It goes something like this: "My sales are not where I need them to be so how do I increase traffic to my website?" Then, when I go to their website, it is usually poorly done, does not offer compelling reasons to buy, is missing calls to action, and generally displays a lot of marketing deficiencies. If this is your situation, and you hope that putting a less than optimal website in front of more and more people will produce better results, you are in for a big disappointment.

I see the same things in the offline sales world. Current sales technology being offered is to allow mediocre sales teams and their managers to do dumb things faster and faster. (e.g., Cold emails not producing? Automate so that you can spam more people faster...)

I tried to find an example of the kind of profile building you don't want and it was taking too long. All I had to do was wait for this wee gem to fall in lap.

Now, I have no idea about Daniel James' skills as a life coach but I can guarantee he's not very savvy when it comes to promoting himself online. This is a 100% own goal.
For starters, he's paid good money to have this drivel posted, then deleted but also marked as spam in a central spam bank which means his genuine content is more likely to be marked as spam.
Second, if anyone does their due diligence on him they'll be surprised to see a professional spelling "new jersey" in all lower case.
Third, this reads like a testimonial but rather than being posted by a satisfied customer it's posted by "Daniel James" himself. And "Daniel" only has one post which outs it as spam before you even read it.
Fourth, "Daniel" is posting from Seatle which seems odd for a New Jersey life coach. That's just a VPN though, he will have outsourced to someone he found on Fiverr I imagine.
Fifth, "Daniel" posted under Directories when the post had no relevance. The spammer couldn't even be bothered putting it somewhere sensible like General Chat.

FWIW I'll give him a heads up about this - hopefully he can call off his spammers before they cause too much harm.

If you are going to hire a person to send traffic to your website , make sure you trust the person . Since many of the traffic services nowadays send bot traffic which may cause problems to your website

I am actually looking for someone to do more than 'send traffic to my site'. I want someone who can look at my site, tell me what seo work to do to improve, and other suggestions, as mentioned above: "call to action", tell me if it is poorly designed for sales, etc. Answer questions like " does a .biz site get less visibility", etc. Perhaps create emails and adds that work. I advertise on facebook and get zero sales from it. I send out email blasts to past customers and get very little response. Tell me how to target the appropriate customers for the type of items I sell. for example, I do have some items that would sell to the lgbt community, but can't target them through facebook anymore, etc. advice on how to get higher google shopping listing.

Nope, as I know, SEO specialists will propose some linkbuilders' services, as I've said upper

The answers given above are rather sober, yet they seem to miss the question. Who do I hire to get sales?
    Did I get you correctly?
ANS: Firstly, you do need to take advantage of the free offers available at your DP store, go get that SEO. even though this is not your immediate need, it is a must for long-term performance of organic traffic and sales.
Secondly, get a free market analysis of your google ads. This will tell you why you are not converting your traffic into sales. This analysis will disclose if you do need to hire someone and who.

Here are some tips as to why you may be experiencing poor conversions:
    1) No landing pages or poor sales copy on your landing page. If your landing page is the same as your home page, then you should create, or hire a landing page designer
    2) Poor 'call to action' converters. Every good website should have three things - a subscriber snippet for lead generation, a free offer or bonus that will intrigue your visitor, and an offset 'don't leave just yet' action getter. Remember that your visitors are looking for something. If you don't have these, please do not continue to blame Google. Hire a designer if you are not capable.
    3) Get yourself a sticker: You are already sending visitors to your website, no one does it better than Google. So now, please place a client sticker on your website if you do not have one.

    What is a 'sticker'
People have reached your website. Why should they stay? Why should they talk about you to their friends, and why would they want to come back?
let's use DP, this forum as an example, They host an awesome marketplace where we can buy, sell or trade at no cost. So, the visitor comes here, sells his services at no cost, tells his friends where he is selling stuff at no cost, and he will be back tomorrow to sell more stuff at no cost.

I hope this was of some help. Best of luck.

You can find an internet marketing coach that's well qualified and knows exactly what they're doing. What have you been doing to promote your website, and why do you think it's failing?
