    hi, I think any video converter is the best to convert video. quality may reduce in a short bit but I found it helpful.

    I am surprised, nobody even mentioned ffmpeg.
    ffmpeg command line:

    ffmpg -I video.wmv -crf 20 output.mp4

    This should do it.

    Tick the "Slow Encoding" checkbox just above the "convert" button and then convert.

    In ffmpeg, it seems that you can also change the resolution, but the video quality is immediately lost, as far as I remember ffmpeg does not care at all about the quality of the video in which it changes the resolution. You need to look for other software and watch different reviews on YouTube.

    Honestly, for a very long time I could not understand why my video resolution does not change when I use the ffmpeg library. And it turns out I put the wrong point there and the resolution just didn't change. But the video quality is really getting very bad.

    I use handbrake, this soft convert to mp4 with minimal loss of quality, but it all depends on the conversion settings.

    If you want to convert WMV or DVD to digital format, there are many tools on the market, and we cannot guarantee which one will not reduce the video quality at all.
