What is my site worth?

I want to post my site for sale and not really sure how to value it. I would like to get some feedback from people who are familiar with this space if that is possible.

My site is FreeAdvertisingExchange.com which is a classified site. The site is 16 years old, has a database of over 270,000 and email list of 125,000. It has an Alexa rank of 270K.

I don’t do anything on the site today and with no work it brings in $200 to $300 a month. I got sick a couple of years ago, which is why I don’t maintain it. However, before I got sick it brought in ten times as much a month, but that was a few years ago.

Any recommendations on what I should be listing the site for today?

I know some SEO specialists, and they use a website called Ahrefs. It analyzes your website and shows you all the details about how your website works from SEO point of view, traffic estimations, rating and social stats. Maybe, this analysis may help you to see how your website is doing now and estimate the cost more accurately. However, I don't know which options of this service is free and which you have to buy.

 

Site evaluations will range wildly, and it comes down to whatever someone is willing to pay for it. However, you will get more if you tidy it up and get it ready for the market.

Like others have said, you need to clean up the mailing list as well. No one wants to buy into a mess.

 

It seems to me that you would much further ahead if you cleaned up the site (as others have stated) AND worked your sales back up to where they were. 3x $200 is only $600 while 3x $2000 is $6000. Those numbers alone suggest that you should spend a year or so building it back better instead of dumping it for peanuts now,

 

Hello, it is not known how much your website is worth, you need to ask good specialists who deal with the valuation of all websites, but I think that your website is worth a little, for sure I would not give it to specialists to get a valuation if you want to sell it, but it will also cost

 

If you want to find some real data about your site's value you can research it through some tool that will analyze it thoroughly and detect all issues, if there are any, and will give you insight into the quality of your performance, content, links, and so on. The best way to find it out would be through some direct contact with users, but since that's impossible, you could do this for now. Also, was interested if you thought maybe about starting some affiliate marketing with your site and joining some network? It would allow you some stable incomes each month, and since the site has a good reputation it could be worth trying it out.
