Google Maps API Question

    I have an idea for a tour app, which would involve users following a route on Google Maps (with appropriate navigation) and then as they approach a location of interest a short audio description is played.

    I am approaching this using Google Maps API and have done a couple of the tutorials/codelabs, but don't know if it supports the audio description feature described above or find any similar code snippets.

    Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
