    I got an email with this subject :
    Important Information Regarding Your Google Account



    I replied to them stating that since it is a proprietary company in India, there is no documentation of it and I furbished my personal details.

    Now they replied back threatening that they will close my accounts if I do not provide them with a copy of my current government issued ID and company registration

    I want to comply but it is not possible.
    Did anyone else have a similar issue? How did you solve this?

    Opening an account on the basis of Proprietary is not a good idea. Since you know that there are no documents required for Proprietary business in India. Google may ask you for Documents. I suggest you register your entity as an LLP. It will save your account from being terminated.

    Even in case of proprietary firm, you would have still registered for GST, for service tax purpose.
    They don't seem to be asking for company registration ID, according to your first post.
    GST registration document has all those other things you mentioned.
