Audio stops playing on chrome

Hi,
I have an audio playing on a webpage.
It plays normally. So far ok.

Now, there is a button on same webpage which allows users to capture a video using their phone camera.

As soon as this button is clicked, the audio in the background stops playing.
I want to keep that audio playing while the user is recording a video.
How can I do this?

Click the play button in the audio player to start the audio,
then click that select file button, and audio will stop, and I don't know why...

That select file button will prompt you to record a video using camera, that part is working ok.
Only problem is that audio stops playing.

And this audio auto stop is happening on phone browser only.
On laptop the audio keeps playing normally...


Any help is greatly appreciated.

It didn't stop for me (I am using Chrome).

 

I guess its only happening on IOS when using chrome.
Found a long thread on Apple forums where this same bug is reported.
