Review a new gaming website for my son

Hello Digital Point community. My son is working on a new SquareSpace website for gaming. He is trying to do it all himself and asked me for some feedback. I do not want to be critical, so I told him I would ask the community for general, directional feedback.

So, if you would not mind spending a minute or so looking at it and providing any feedback he and I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance!

I'm going to show my son your son's desk because there's no way he'll ever have his as tidy!

My first thought is what does he think he's building?
He doesn't have the time to build a fully-fledged gaming information website
or the money to promote it

so he needs to find a niche.
Does he want to focus on a particular part of Minecraft & Fortnite?
Does he just want a timeline where he blogs about his own discoveries and successes?

I'm not a big fan of serifed fonts and they don't particularly fit with the hip young gamer vibe.

If you tell me to "click here" I expect a link

Get him to install Grammarly, it'll help him avoid typos

Who is Fran and why is your son promoting a scam site?

I love that he's giving it a go, that he already had a youtube channel and the bit that I listened to didn't include expletives - something my 21yo seems incapable of.

Keep encouraging him to experiment and play with his online presence. It can be a lot of fun.

It's a great set up hes got.

Website looks good, as mentioned above, he needs to find a niche, then keywords and subjects to target. If he's serious he will have to learn a bit of SEO, and probably better off using wordpress rather than sqaurespace, certainly in the long term.

For me, light brown buttons on the dark-ish background kinda don't fit. Although, That's a cool site he got.
