Contest New logo or logomakover - 35$ ends friday.

So guys, here is what I need.

I plan on a relaunch of my blog, and I need a new/refreshed logo - actually I like the old one so maybe just a makeover could do the trick.

So you can choose two paths, one a brand new logo or two a refresher/makeover of the old one.

The logo need to include" Read My Damn Blog" and preferably ".com", for colors I am thinking "white, orange, black and grey" - the rss logo seem like a nice touch but not a demand. the logo is primarily for the top left of my blog, but will likely also be used in a few YouTube videos. You can look at the readmydamnblog com to see where it will be used, the same framework (wp theme) will be used. I think a wide logo works best as opposed to a square one.

The new logo need to be re sizable and come in two or three variants, one for bright background (primary) one that works for a dark background (does not need to be two different logos if the one logo can work for both light and dark background), and finally a "simple" version in square or round format (if possible).

Attached picture is just to give an idea of design ideas I find appealing and one of the old logo.

Thanks for the submission. I kind of like the ".com" part, but the logo looks to ordinary, one the one hand I would like it fairly simple and readable - however on the other not so simple that it just appear as a text/font logo.

 

Thank you for your feedback! As a blogger myself, I also prefer keeping it fairly simple + a tiny element. I think that works well. If you have any suggestions on how to improve it, or what can be added, feel free to share.

Thanks for your submission, interesting - but I feel the rss logo instead of the "E" is "confusing" and the coloring of the words should cycle I think, - so like "Read" (color 1) "My" (color 2) "Damn" (color 1)..

Thank you for your submission. I think you are really on to something good here, I REALLY like this.. I think it could be interesting to move the rss logo into the logo blog with the "read" part - just to see how that works (like in the original logo). and another idea, what if we took "damn" out of the logo, then took the "Read My Blog" and like tore it after my, and then moved the two parts apart and put in "damn" perhaps even in red or somthing - you know like someone added it afterwards to the logo (perhaps like someone took a spraycan and added it like grafitti or something)? The latter idea is just a crazy thought though, not sure if it would work.

Thanks for submitting. Interesting submission, but to me it feels a bit too much like just text and less logo, and one important part it is too high, it need to be less square and more wide.

 

Thanks for your submission, quite nice actually.. it somehow feel a bit "flat" (very 2d), and I am thinking if the speeach bubble would loook nicer if it was reounded. But interesting.

These are really good, clearly my favorite so far.. the top one is my favorite.

Interesting, would it be possible to change the "arrov" and add the rss feed instead of the "D"? and I think perhaps add ".com" under "Damn blog" as with "read my".

Not bad, but it feels a bit bland - the rss feed logo should move into the black box in the logo I think - and perhaps make it white. and the left part of the logo miss some life, perhaps a glass effect of something?

Thanks for the submission, the top one is the better one, the others become too square, the idea with the rss logo in the"O" is nice but somehow does not work so great in the top one.. thanks for the submission.

A lot better, not bad.. Perhaps the RSS could even be more clear/prominent somehow.. and how would the logo possibly look in a wide black box perhaps with rounded edges.
