What is Yahoo's stance on images next to YPN ads? Is it allowed?

Not allowed, can get ban easily for that no doubt. actually after "low traffic", that's most affect reason to get terminated.

Ok so Yahoo has always said no to images by ads but Google is just now coming out and saying no?

Is there a document someplace which explains what is and is not allowed? I just read over the Terms of Service and Terms and Conditions and it says nothing about images.

Are people getting warned about questionable ad placement or just banned with no warning?

According to the Adsense blog you are not allowed to place images by Adsense ads anymore. But just like Yahoo I can't find anything in their Terms and Conditions about not using images by Adsense ads.

This is very confusing. The people who said you can not use images by YPN ads, where did you get this information?

    star,

YPN sends warning emails to ppl and I think they mentioned it on their blog. I was told to remove small icons I had beside the ads two times. I complied with their request both times.

If you ask them how come it is not on the TOS they will say this a beta program and things are changing faster than the policy updates.

No Warning from Adsense....direct termination. they dont bann for image next to ads though.

it does not say anywhere but you can search on google or Digitalpoint, They usually bann for either Low quality traffic or Image next to ad..i havn't seen any major reason for termination.

From the beginning, Yahoo did not allow images near ads. A friend of mine was told to remove them months ago.
If what you are doing is questionable, you should stay clear of it and not geopardize your account.
Play by the rules and you should be fine.

    Hey People
I have been placing ads with image all time with google and ypn
But you have to know how to ?
if your website about cars your image should be about cars and not sexy girls.
even google in his adsense blog he suggest these images
look here and read at the bottom
    http://adsense.blogspot.com/2006/12/ad-and-image-placement-policy.html

I emailed ypn and they said the same my image should be related to the ad.

I am not sure why in YPN lot of people get ban b/c images next to ads then?? I personally do not believe that all of those who lost their account have placed sexy girls image instead cars? image next to ads is problem in YPN[.] no matter how relavent your image with your webpage (especially when you know that car sites never gets Car ads easily..it doesn't matter you put girl's pic or cars, YPN is not targetting ads very well)

I called ypn and asked them and that's what they say
I guess ypn are banning people who are sending junk traffic from myspace and sex sites. Get high quality traffic even if you pay more but you still make some good money

I'd have to agree as long as the intention of the images is not strictly to get the people on your site to mindlessly click, such as girls in bikini's you wont get banned.
