Single or multiple website?

I intend to start a blogsite but I have several niches, from self-development, travel, movie, and programming.
Should I put them together on one website with several categories, or put them on different websites?
I think I will only be able to write 1-2 articles per week.

I don't use wordpress. I use my own coded script for blogging (if I do blogging at all)

If you plan to work with multiple niches then create a blog for everyone .If you put them on a single blog you will comfuse search engines and you will not get rank

    Hi Spartan14,
Even though my niches are quite unrelated to one another?

    Yes DakoChan
Specially if your niches are unrelated.
Google tends to categorize website on topic/niche and then on region (if applicable).

So if you start a blog about beauty products and you also start posting programming tips there, then there is a good chance that your blog will rank for neither.

This is why I voted for "multiple websites" in my earlier comment.

Only? In a year you can have up to 104 articles. That's a lot. Even if you write more for one and less for the other, your sites should grow fast.

Ah, I get it. It makes sense. :D
How about if in one niche blog I put 2-3 different languages?
For example, I create coding tips blog on one blog with English and Spanish. Then, I create one article about Excel in English and the Spanish translation in another article. Will it be okay?

Because I read from somewhere that in order to build a blog with a good rank the blog needs to have minimum 1-2 articles a week, which makes me thinking to make one blog for all niches.
But, based on Jeet and Spartan's replies, I think I should focus on 1 or 2 niche blogs first to grow my page rank.

Translations of same article in different languages on same blog is ok.

Search engines dont like so much diferent niches on a website .Firstly it confuse them as they dont know exactly what its your website etc . Just think that tou have a big company and you search people qualified in 1 single damain .The someone come for a job interview and you ask him .Tell me what its your quification ,what you know to do best .Then that man will tell you : Well i am lawyer ,accountant ,doctor ,stylist .Yourself will say then ,what the fuck this man does everithing but nothing does well

That's great, try to write with your own passion, about 50 quality articles I think you will succeed.
