The wordmark needs to be connected w/o spacing.
I'm not sure if the style using resistors works. I see how you're getting the "D" and "C" in the design. But I'm not sure it works here.

The wordmark is ok. But the design is too busy. Maybe it's because you put a halftone image behind the logo design you're presenting. But keep in mind that the logo should look good when made really small. Think of how the logo would look as a favicon. The style you have with small chains and lines with dots is too complex.

The wordmark looks as though it's vertically stretched.
The inside of the "D" is goofy. It reminds me of somebody playing the drums.

To me this logo design looks either like a broken "D" or it looks like there is a drill bit penetrating the letter horizontally.

I incorporated golden ratio curves for this. Also, from the beginning of the logo to the letter D is a golden ratio rectangle.

@galalogo I'm really liking this style. Can you show me variants of this? It gives me a sense of motion and forward direction.

I think the logo part might be too hard to see as a favicon. It looks very detailed

The workmarks are different with "data" and with "chat". I can see that "chat" is a bit smaller. It looks unintentional.
The logo designs don't seem to be made with much quality or effort.

The wordmark doesn't look good with two different font treatments for the words.
The logo parts doesn't look very good either. I think the chat bubble is overused and the design is too complex

Hmm...the examples with the big "DC" don't seem to be working well for a logo part. Besides, if it's representing the font of the wordmark, the style of the "D" and the "C" don't match the wordmark.

For this project, I'm looking for a wordmark and a logo design. I don't think the design of a letter in the wordmark will work. I want a symbol to represent the company.

This design is overly complex. It doesn't look very professional
