    I have a YouTube Channel .... But sometimes it gets a bit irritating - When for some reason, YouTube decides that one of your videos is in tos violation - and deletes it. It doesn't happen often - But it does happen from time to time, And it always seems to be a video that you really like!

    My Question is this - Suppose I have a Landing Page -- And I include a Video on the page. Instead of Linking to a YouTube video - Is there some sort of Online Video Storage website that I can Link to a Video? I know there are Online Video Storage sites - But I would need one that you could link Directly to - As you do with YouTube ...

    Any help will be much appreciated ... Thanks!!!

    There are lots of sites that will host your video - the main one being Vimeo. It's a reasonably cheap marketing tool.

    You can use Dailymotion and Metacafe for online video storage.

    Again, Viemo is similar to YouTube ---If they don't like a Video - they have the right to delete it - no questions asked

    You want to put your content on a no-questions-asked site?
    Really?
    Do you know what kind of garbage will also be on there?
    And you want people to know that's the best you can do for your content?
    The assumption, therefore, is that you're posting some really, really distasteful content.

    I've had content taken down from YouTube because of copyright of the background music. By the time it had happened the 30 parents of 15yo cheerleaders who needed to see it had done so. It's pretty hard to strip out the music of a cheer performance but most objections can be overcome if you're running a professional site with control over your content.

    I suppose there are a lot of alternatives on the local sources for this. Like rutube in Russia or related. Just in terms of traffic such alternative sources will not be that good for you.
    Perhaps that worth somehow ad tune your video so Youtube won't penalty you for this.

    Many popular sites have different rights regarding content or media. If you need such site who allowed your videos then build your own and publish as many as possible.

    Actually, there is Vimeo Premium where you can hide the videos from general search, make them hard to download and a lot more, I think. I've heard people use it for online courses. Maybe that would be an option for you.

    I wouldn't suggest getting away from youtube so quickly, as being there definitely gives you more visibility. It is the biggest video platform in the world and with the right keywords and content it can generate lots of traffic to your website

    This same problem we have with Youtube, so we leave it, Vimeo looks like a good choice.

    If you only want this for storage purposes, then there is a way you can do this via facebook.

    Upload your video on facebook, and then get the URL of video.
    Now use HTML5 tags to display the video on your website.

    The URL you will get from facebook is like this:

    https://video.fdel1-2.fna.fbcdn.net...=e793d51895d61ae6888a832233bae359&oe=5DC6CAE4

    Embed it like this on your webpage:

    <video controls style=" width: 500px; height: 400px; " autoplay>
    <source src="https://video.fdel1-2.fna.fbcdn.net...=e793d51895d61ae6888a832233bae359&oe=5DC6CAE4" />
    </video>

    That video plays here on fb

    https://www.facebook.com/groups/1757618137862122?view=permalink&id=2218342038456394

    However, if your video got deleted from youtube, then I am not sure if it will not get deleted from facebook for same reasons or not.
    Most of these websites have similar copyright etc policies...

    All very legit concerns mentioned in this thread.

    I would also like to add that having a YouTube video embedded on your website is good for your SEO and it does not have such an impact if you embed it from any other site (since YouTube ane Google are practically the same company).

    Some of the most useful and popular alternatives to YouTube are Vimeo and Dailymotion. Comparing the three would be a good idea to understand the demographics and more. Use SimilarWeb to compare the three and focus on the specific characteristics you want to use the most and then choose accordingly.
