    Google engineers were not born yesterday. Think about it — let's say you have a signature link on your posts in this forum and you've made perhaps 1,000 posts. Does anyone think Google is foolish enough to credit that as 1,000 legitimate, worthy backlinks? Of course not.

    Signature work as backlink and it use to get traffic directly to your website. It is helpful. Different forum have their own rule to put signature. Some take signature after 20 messages or some after 40.
