Backlinks from social media

Hey all,

I am curious to know that if i am sharing my youtube video which has website url in the description, and share on other platforms such facebook, twitter, whatsapp. So does these social media link to my website. so does this will be counted in backlinks or not?

also when i am sharing my url to whatsapp to 1000 people, so does this counted as 1000 thousand backlinks to my website.

 

My understanding is that Youtube links are no follow. They do not count as backlinks but they do bring in traffic if you have a lot of views.

As far as sharing. No you would not get 1000 backlinks because the share is linked to YouTube not your website. If you embed, the description does not show up.

As far as directly sharing your website link on WhatsApp, I believe they are also no follow. Social media is more for driving traffic than getting quality backlinks.

 

on many social media sites...the links that shared on there is not counted as a backlink. Because almost of them are no follow backlink. But sometimes google can give you good effect of this shared links. Especialy on pinterest board or pin of yours and sometimes on twitter too.
