    does converting article into other language helps in getting traffic and sales (via affiliate programs).

    suppose if i convert a single article into 5-7-10 various languages , does it help me to get traffic from those countries and few sales too?

    kindly give your valuable suggestions.

    thanks

    Yes it can I have done it in the past. But you shouldn't do auto translation you need to pay a translator.

    Maybe someone knows if there should be another website version for translated articles?

    Actually it doesn't. I speak more than one language and had a small translation service a couple of years back. The problem is that Google Translate is robotic and clinical. It cannot converse like a human. Here is an example:
    "I took a stroll across the lane and ran into my friends dog". Google might translate it this way:
    "I traversed the street and encountered the canine of my acquaintance".
    Yes it got translated, but something was lost in the translation....the human element.

    Not necessarily. I've taken translated pages and placed them in their own sub-directory, named for their TLD. For instance, it for Italy or es for Spain.

    Very true, nothing like a professional translation.

    Everyone is correct you don't need a different website for a few reasons...
    1. It dilutes and reduces the link juice spreading it around many sites.
    2. Interlinking the sites can be problematic and possibly be seen as trying to manipulate the search rankings.. ( which is what seo is all about, ranking pages to page 1 )

    The most correct way is to have the content translated to your target language as many here have already posted. Then as mentioned by Oso Optimized, use sub folders for each targeted language. Translated content is considered by Google to be "Unique Content" and will not be considered duplicate.

    Now for the process to work to it's fullest potential you must use hreflang tags. Each page must include these tags to let Google and all the other SE's know there is an alternate page available for that language.

    Let's assume for example you are targeting English, German and Italian. Here is an example of what it would look like for your home page.
    Remember this...
    English pages would be formated like this .. mysite.com/some-page-url/
    German pages would be formated like this .. mysite.com/de/some-page-url/
    Italian pages would be formated like this .. mysite.com/it/some-page-url/

    On your home page for English... using mysite.com as the site.
    ( understand that all pages will have to have hreflang tags on them )

    On the English page it will look like this

    <link rel="canonical" href="https://mysite.com/" />
    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="x-default" href="https://mysite.com/" />
    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="de" href="https://mysite.com/de/" />
    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="it" href="https://davidhampton.com/it/" />

    Code (markup):
    On the German page it would look like this.

    <link rel="canonical" href="https://mysite.com/de/" />
    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="x-default" href="https://mysite.com/de/" />
    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="en" href="https://mysite.com/" />
    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="it" href="https://mysite.com/it/" />

    Code (markup):
    On the Italian page it would look like this.

    <link rel="canonical" href="https://mysite.com/it" />
    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="x-default" href="https://mysite.com/it/" />
    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="en" href="https://mysite.com/" />
    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="de" href="https://mysite.com/de/" />

    Code (markup):

    The translated content is typically hosted on sub-domains or sub-folders.

    Should have no effect. If there are any concerns, just check page speed via Google.
