I have tried various programs and CMSs, and I did NOT like ANY of them. Too convoluted. Too slow. Too many bugs that CANNOT be fixed. Too hard to make it do my job. Outputs too much BLOATED code. Cannot easily be molded to fit my needs. And on and on and on.

After several years of fighting GARBAGE, I simply wrote my own website builder using FoxPro. It does my job exactly the way I want to do it. Any time I don't like how something is working, I simply spend a wee bit of time to rewrite some of the code.

I can add/update HUNDREDS of webpages PER DAY. I have found NOTHING else that will do that. However, my builder will NOT do many of the things other builders will do and I don't care because IF I NEEDED to do those things, I would simply update my builder to do them.

I agree with JoeSpirit, Mobirise is a really useful application. I don't have a lot of money and it's the main obstacle for usage of another application.
Bootstrap generator Mobirise has several advantages in comparison with other applications.
    1. You can download the app to your computer and use it without an internet connection. It's needed only during the extensions activation, registration and publication of your project.
    2. It has several themes, which have the same blocks as the paid. It's possible to change almost every element, so you can adjust the free templates to any paid themes manually.
    3. It's possible to publish the project no only to Mobirise's host (as usually, other website builders offer). You can publish it directly to your host just from the app or publish it to your PC.
    4. You can change the code after publication to your PC for free (of course if you know the coding process).

So, in my personal opinion, Mobirise website builder is really cool and useful. Of course, if you need to create a landing page only. It has restrictions.
I don't have money for themes purchase, so it's optimal for me.

WordPress is easier because it doesn't need any coding and most functionalities can be done through plugins which are easily integrated into it. If you don't want to hire a developer, you can teach yourself WordPress. Such a good platform.

Personally, I would never use any of those site builders or CMSs simply because I want to have a full control over the code. I mean 100%. I want to know exactly what does what, where and why. I do have sites that use bootstrap, but I have removed or redone 80% of the code in some of the files. How else can anyone run their own business and have no clue what their code does, capable of doing or can't do?
