There are lots of Hosting companies. Choosing a host depends on what your requirements are and whether the hosting company you chose can meet those requirements. I see you have chosen HostGator. There are some good web hosting companies here too... My firm but also the others on this site, so if you have any issues with HostGator then drop by and take a look through DigitalPoint but ensure to carry out some due diligence first.

It really depends on what you're looking for. Some of the lesser known hosts have super fast servers, but lack in ease of use tools. If you're an experienced developer Siteground is the best of the best. Crazy fast servers, and almost 100% uptime, they also have decent customer support. If you just want a good all-rounder, hands down its Bluehost. They just have it down. IF money is an issue at all, check out Hostinger. It literally only costs $0.80 cents a month, which is redonculously cheap.

If you have any other questions, just ask. I run a web hosting review site so this is right in my wheelhouse.

Siteground is one of the best.
Godaddy is a joke, I won't even register a Domain Name with those clowns.

Bluehost and HostGator are part of EIG. Do enough reading and you are going to find that there is quite a racket when it comes to hosting reviews, and these companies Jam a lot of websites into a web server and they play so many limitations on the customers that there are many better deals out there to be had. I feel the same way about GoDaddy although I do trust GoDaddy when it comes to domain names. But I would not use GoDaddy for hosting. I used to monetize our company by referring people to web hosting companies and I'm really sorry that I did that. One of those companies was HostGator and they got bought out by EIG and the service went down quickly. Many of the customers that had taken my recommendation we're upset with me too. Now I get paid 0 to recommend people to a host and I probably recommend to hosting companies. Here is my apology and my recommendations. Haha you read that right. I apologize for ever recommending Hostgator. Another one that got bought out by AIG was Arvixe. I recommended them too, not knowing the EIG would buy them out.

Haha, maybe. When I signed up with Knownhost, that was one of the questions I asked them. Should Knownhost and Siteground get acquired, I would probably be rolling my own own hosting with Amazon or DigitalOcean. It is a little more work, but recently it is getting easier.

what is your bad experience with Hostinger? I'm recently having it for my blog, despite the delayed emails, its really good to me. as my plan will expire soon, I search for upgrade options, now I have more money and would be happy to upgrade with them.

    Do this.
    Google hosting companies
contact them using their preferred way of communication - email, phone so you know their response time
check if they are using the latest versions of software - like are they using php 7 or still with php 5
you should do little more investigation before deciding.
