    Domain parking is the registration of a domain name without actually having an actual web site active at the domain. Some people collect domains, buy them and park them with a view towards developing them in the future or selling them. Some people also snatch up domains for current pop culture references in an effort to capitalize on the nascent popularity and sell for a quick profit.

    It's a way of monetizing traffic without having to develop a website. Visitors will see a landing page and might click on ads. Unless a domain is valuable it won't be getting type-in traffic so you don't have to worry about it.
