Anyone else think Digital Point has gone crap?

Discussion in 'General Chat' started by canaryspace, May 1, 2019.

It seems that Digital Point has gone to crap. It used to be a great place, very helpful and busy. Having logged in for the first time in years around 8 months ago, I have had nothing but crap from a bunch of moderators who act like the owners bitches.

Two auctions, won by buyers, no payment AWOL. Reported, nothing done.

These new mods are basically a load of BS.

I'm through with Digital Point, now how to I delete my account?

Who are these new mods?? looks like the same mods that have always been here, including the ones that haven't logged in for 3 or 4 years....
How do you know nothing was done, you don't know if they got warnings or not.

Maybe that's the problem - users found forums useful and now they don't.

And yeah, who are these new moderators and why has nobody told me about them?

Always the same people commenting on my posts too. This place is dead. Shame.

It's probably the changing face of the Internet. It seems like people are moving away from forums in general towards social media sites and "Q&A" type sites

Well it's a big shame. I just wish someone would take DP and sort out the auction system. There is a big wide open market for starter sites since Flippa has a new CEO who is fading out starter sites and giving them almost zero exposure. DP could and should jump onto this and grab the opportunity to offer those starter site sellers who have had enough of Flippa a decent platform.

It's hardly the forums fault if the bidders didn't follow through with the sale, that's the fault of the bidder not sure why you're blaming the forum.
It hasn't cost you anything, just relist the sites or go elsewhere and pay through the nose for it, at least it's free here.

I see you're still listing stuff here today, so you're not really "done with the forum" then?

Yes I'm giving it another try and I want it to work out so not only have I just gone ahead and closed my premium Flippa account, I will try and get some sellers over here. Maybe DP should charge a little bit for listing or take some commission from sales which could be put back into the system to make it work better. I really wouldn't mind paying for something that allows us to list starter websites and I am sure many others feel the same.

The 2 posts I have written yesterday ( well researched and lengthy) have removed without any notification. The reason was I posted them in the wrong category. They could have moved it to the proper category or have asked me to change it.

They were probably removed as spam because you had hidden links to your own site in them.

If I remember correctly the "well researched and lengthy" posts were copied word for word from other sites.

If you have posts removed always check your warnings and you should find the reasons.

    there were no hidden links.

They were the original contents. some moderators think they are the owners of this site. That's why without any reason they remove contents. At least they should inform the reason why they are removed.

As far as i remember there we no warnings. I just saw the removal notification.

I just joined, I didn't know I will get a response like this regarding this forum. Well, I am also not having a very good time here but want to explore the community so I'll remain here.
