The font for "CNC" is interesting, looks like something a machine would produce. The "N" might be a tad too 'chunky' though.

Thank you for the design...I like the icon. The "D" is interesting and I like the way it forms the top and bottom half of the 3 (at least to my eyes). Almost looks like a backwards "C" to me as well...perhaps it could carry into CNC?

Thank you for the designs. Your icon is definitely one of my favorites...the subtle D and 3 combined, very nice. I think if you could "soften" it up just a little though, it's a touch too modern...but I really like this one.

Thank you for the designs. It is a very clean and modern logo. I do like your font choice, not 100% sure on the icon though...I think the "D" gets lost a little too much.

I really like "your" logo...the iD...very nice, and I really like the designs you have come up with for me. I also appreciate the renderings you have doing showing how the logo would look carved into wood, that is very helpful. I think I like the capital D with the inset 3 slightly more than the lowercase d3...but these are definitely a couple of my favorites so far. Perhaps a slightly more playful font or softer lines to give it that handmade touch?

Thank you for the designs...I think yours is very similar to an earlier submission. I do like the icon but I think the D gets a little lost, perhaps if the softer/rounder lines of the hexagon/cube shape were carried into the D and 3? Not sure.

Wanted to make a separate reply for this submission. I do like the "banner" icon...very simple and clean and does have a nice handmade feel. The font may be just a bit too modern.

Thank you for the design...this one is very creative. I'm afraid the icon is a little too busy though to reproduce easily with my machine. This is my fault, I should have mentioned that typically the smallest "cutter" I use is 1/16" diameter which translates into a fairly heavy line weight.

Thank you for the designs. Both the circle and rectangle are good options..I will definitely have to look at them a bit more. I've said this for a few other submissions but perhaps a slightly less modern look...I like "clean", but imagine this on the back of a wood cutting board or drink coaster...the modern machine is recreating the handmade touch.

Thank you for the designs. I would say yours is in the top three so far. I really like the icon...to my eye I see "D's", "3's", "C's" and "N's"...very creative. My only thought, and it's counter to the idea of "modern"...but perhaps soften everything up a little and give it that handmade/craft touch. Very nice though.

Thank you for the design, you have definitely hit on a fun and playful design...that looks handmade and still clean and modern. I really like this one. I would like to see it as a simple black outline. Not sure if it will lose what I like so much about it or not but trying to picture it reproduced by the machine. Great entry.

 

A note to all who have submitted designs so far.

Thank you very much...there is a ton of creativity here and my expectations have already been exceeded.

I would like to add to the $50 prize a "personalized" item for the winner...a cutting board or drink coaster or pen holder...etc. Just a little something I could send the winner as a "thank you".

I can tell already it will be a difficult choice.
