According to Matt Cutts Social Signals don't impact SEO rankings but what according to you does this factor mentioned before impact SEO rankings?

There is no direct relationship between social media and SEO but indirectly it's there. Many experts say that social media is not a ranking signal but it can surely amplify the ranking factors that Google DOES consider.

Yes, Google doesn't consider social media as a ranking factor. Google treats Facebook and Twitter pages similar to any other web page for search.

Google doesn't consider social media as a Ranking Factor but it considers the power of social signals which will impact the ranking.

IMO strong social presence definitely is definitely valued to some point. Check this article out - https://www.searchenginejournal.com/social-signals-affect-seo/135956/. Pretty much what I think. It doesn't have any direct impact, but it probably helps.

"but what does this factor impact SEO rankings?"

If the question is a "what" question, I have no clue how to answer it. But if it is a "how" question... I also have no clue how to answer it.

    Good question.

You are right about Matt Cutts' response towards social signals, it can be viewed here.

Whether or not social media have an impact on rankings, they can and do bring traffic. For example, over the past 3 months social media (in order of quantity: Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn...) have brought me about 162 visitors each month. That's less than half of one percent of our traffic. But it's still 162 monthly visitors we might not get otherwise.

True. If you automate the process of sharing your articles to social media, it can drive some additional traffic without any effort. As you said, even it's 1%, it's still traffic. Numbers will grow if you are active on social media, but it obviously takes some time and effort.

If you are using spammy methods to get shares likes and tweets then social signals won't help you in your SEO campaign. Natural social signals does help in seo and increase keywords rankings and traffic see yourself on buzzsumo you will get the answer

There's not any connection between SEO and networking but it's there. Specialists say that websites isn't a sign that is rank but it can amplify the things that Google DOES think about.

According to me, they do impact on your rankings (indirectly). If your site is active on social media and receiving likes and shares then it indirectly tells Google that this a viral content and Google algorithm put emphasis on your site to rank it well.
