Routing number / sort code for direct deposit in India?

Discussion in 'Commission Junction' started by downloadsonline.org, Oct 29, 2011.

    Hi,
I live in India and would like to receive payments through direct deposits.
I tried to change the "Payment Information" in account settings.

However, I don't know the "Routing number / sort code".

I have contacted all the banks in my town and they informed me that they only have "swift code" and not "Routing number / sort code".

    I have the following doubts:

    1) In my payment information, can I just input our bank "swift code" in the place of "Routing number / sort code"?

    2) After I enter my bank account number, name and details, If the direct deposit payment fails, will I lose that money? or, will there be any charge?

    3) Is there any charge for direct deposit in general or is it free ?

    Please inform.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Enter your IFSC code in place of "Routing number / sort code".... In case the payment fails CJ may charge you (though am not sure)... Direct Deposit is free I guess...

For more details about DD... Login to your CJ account click "Payment Options" under ANNOUNCEMENTS...

    [h=2]Payment by Direct Deposit[/h]
Our free direct deposit service sends your payments quickly and easily to the bank account you designate. If you do not choose direct deposit, Commission Junction sends you a check in the mail in the payment currency you select. You may apply for direct deposit if you have a banking relationship in any of the countries listed below based on the country/currency combination.Once you apply for direct deposit it may take a month before your payment is received directly in your designated bank account. In most cases, if you input correct banking information before the 15th of the month you will receive your next commissionpayment via direct deposit after the 20th of that same month. In addition to providing your bank name, account name, and account type, you must provide accurate account and banking numbers per the specifications below. Please do not include a dash or any other symbols when entering these numbers. If necessary, you may need to contact your financial institution for account information.

    India (INR)
    • Account Number: 15 digits. If account number is less than 15 digits, do not add leading zeros
    • International Routing Code (Indian Financial System Code-IFSC) is alphanumeric and maximum 11 characters in length. It consists of the following
      • A four - letter alphabetic bank code
      • 0 (zero)
      • A six-characters branch code
      • Example: SCBL0036001
Note: Please note that the international routing code is not the SWIFT code.

    Not yet.. they says

Unfortunately, these payments have not left our bank yet. The delay is related to these being new currencies and first time setup issues. Once it is resolved, the problem will not be repeated. We expect the payments to post sometime this week, though we do not have a specific date, depending on how quickly their banks process them

Thanks Minterest. Even I had the same confusion with the routing code. You cleared my doubt.
