WordPress is a crap for e-commerce?

Why is it said that WordPress is crap for e-commerce? Is it perhaps due to their limited capabilities to have a product catalog or simply because it should be used only for the creation of vlogs?

WordPress is considered to be a crap for an e-commerce website because:
    • Since WordPress is very popular it can also be the downfall of it. WordPress is constantly under attack from various kinds of cyber attacks. No doubt the upgrades are released on time, but no one will want to live under the threat of getting hacked. And the fact is that e-commerce sites require security as they deal with private information about the customers.
    • Your e-commerce business will grow in future, and you will have to process several orders. Therefore, the number of concurrent scripts that WordPress performs can overwhelm many web servers.
    • Since you will need to add themes and plugins for making your WordPress work properly for your e-commerce website, there might be a problem when you upgrade your WordPress installation. So, your chosen themes and plugins might not be sometimes compatible with the WordPress upgrade.
    • The themes and plugins are upgraded frequently, customizations you might make will be overwritten while upgrading.

Turdpress is crap for EVERY thing, except maybe grandma's blog.

It is HARD to use, full of bugs, has serious security issues, is not designed for e-commerce, and so on.

Further, it is impossible to maintain. As soon as you fix one problem, your fix creates another problem. E-commerce sites have only ONE function, to sell products. ANYTHING that takes resources away from that function is something that needs to be jettisoned. But, the most common issue, spending time keeping everything working, cannot be jettisoned except by round filing Turdpress and using something else for e-commerce.

Finally, concerning Turdpress, it is SLOW SLOW SLOW. Why? Because the code it writes is TEN TIMES LONGER than what is needed. Further Turdpress sites typically call DOZENS of Javascript and CSS files, most of which are NEVER needed and often have DUPLICATE code in them. Every call requires handshaking TIME to load and process.

The solution for e-commerce? Use something that is designed ONLY for e-commerce. Even most of those are bloated train wrecks, but at least they work better and faster than Turdpress. And since they are designed for e-commerce they are MUCH MUCH easier to use when maintaining an e-commerce site.

Ideally, one should code one's own site instead of trying to use a one-size-fits-all "solution." E-commerce websites are one of the easiest websites to code for as there are only a few functions needed on e-commerce sites.
