Is Google+ a good way to promote your site?

i agree if you want traffic use facebook, instagram or twitter google plus is a dead site people use google to check their email and youtube nothing else!! you can give your page a backlink in google plus but its not the best for marketing lol!!

Yes, it is a good way to promote your site.
But it is just one of many tools available for this purpose. I would not consider it the one tool for immediately growing your traffic 100 fold. In fact, nowadays, I do not think there is any one tool that can do this. Today, traffic generation is the result of many small contributions and constant work that all build up traffic.

Note that traffic generation and SEO are becoming disconnected.
And because the rules of SEO are constantly changing, and PR is a moving target, I don't think you should make that your sole consideration.
Make your site known in the relevant communities. Google Plus has so many communities, your are sure to find some of relevance to your site. So share some relevant information in those communities and you'll get some traffic. And do the same for communities in Facebook, LinkedIn, on Twitter, etc. They will all contribute some traffic and you will build up a following. Do it for the sake of being thorough and covering all the bases, but don't expect any one of them to be a home run play.

 

I don't think G+ alone is a great way to promote your website, it will help you to get some of the visitors to your website but for that, you have to share the quality posts, Use the top social media together for the best response.

 

Google plus + is just another form of social network like Facebook. Initially Google algorithm was using it for ranking websites on search engine. But due black hat technique I guess google is not considering it any more. They have excluded it from algorithm.
