Sorry bud. European laws do not apply to U.S. companies that do no business in Europe. Digital point does no business outside of California. Anyone that accesses or uses this site does so at their own risk and BY THEIR OWN CHOICE. If you were so concerned about your data, YOU NEVER SHOULD HAVE SIGNED UP IN THE FIRST PLACE.

For any website, they have to obey the laws of any country they operate in, Digitalpoint operates in Europe, so has to obey European laws

I am not sure if facebook/google has assets in EU, and they are being sued for lots of money. If you have read GDPR, and it is clear that if your site has visitors from EU then your site is fair game, and you are under their rules. GDPR is not going to waste their time on small sites, they are going after billion-dollar tech giants, no matter where they are, and it is your responsibility to make sure your site is compliant with GDPR. If you make less then facebook, google, twitter, or have no money, then there is little they can do. Why does the US allow this? Because the US and EU have agreements with each other, and this is why you have seen almost no pushback in regards to the US telling the EU to take a hike.
