Is This A Violation of Copyright?

I read a plan where the author made a ton
of money by copying and posting viral articles
on his blog then running facebook ads to make
his blog go viral. He said he would give credit to
the original writer of the article and also link to
the original article and write an introduction as to
how he found this great article and why he is
posting it. But even with all that he is still copying
and posting the full article. Is that not a violation
    of copyright?
I saw a similar question and many replies were that
google will penalize duplicate content. That is not
an issue here. He is getting traffic from ads. he does
    not need google
But is it not a copyright violation posting the full article
even giving full credit and linking to the original?

I think you'd best ask legal professionals - as opposed to a forum - if you want certainty.

But my (unprofessional) opinion is that even if it's legal, the guy is a <insert negative expletive>. What's more important, money or self respect..? :)

What concerns me is that he is selling this to others as a
plan to follow. So others might end up creating copyright
violations and the fines are no joke. They can run into
thousands of dollars. I think he has no idea that just because
you credit where you got an article that does not give
you the right to copy and post the full article.

It becomes an issue, I believe, as soon as you start running ads and profiting from it. It doesn't matter if you're giving credit to the author or not.

That would definitely be a copyright violation. The sad part is many people feel this is perfectly OK to do since they give a link to the original article. It's not. I guess they won't mind if I come take their car and put a note in the window, "This car taken from 123 Main St' :) It's the same thing.
