Twitter shows reply w/o original tweet

    Twitter just showed me a tweet made by x:

    Replying to @y
    I agree​

    It didn't show me the original tweet y had made.

    I'm following x and not following y, but still it doesn't make much sense to show the reply without the original tweet (agree on what?).

    Does it make sense to you?

    In such a case, is there a simple way to quickly find the original tweet?

    The first tweet was deleted, that doesn't delete all the replies so they stay and look strangely orphaned.

    No, it wasn't. I went to y's tweets, and I was able to find it there. The problem is that I had to locate it "manually".

    Here's an example:

    In both cases, I can see the original tweets, I just need to go to the relevant account and iterate through their recent tweets.

    Could you show them side by side - a link to your tweet with the missing content, and a link to the content when accessed via their feed.

    That looks pretty normal, assuming that when you click your tweet it expands to show the whole thing. I found it and had a look, everything looked ok.
