Contest Design Contest #21: T-Shirt Designs Needed (Ongoing)

We are running a different kind of contest this time.

This contest is ongoing and we are basically seeking good T-Shirt designs directed towards some themes pertaining to our website, which is an urban entertainment and news site. We're based out of the US, so keep that in mind.

We're looking for designs that are trendy. If you could use pop culture references that are currently hot and being talked about, the better.

Once we have enough designs, I will mark this post as such so that no one else will enter.

You can enter multiple times, but please please please please look at the feedback I give to other designs and if your design is not within the realm of what we like or of the same quality compared to the designs you see being entered that we like on this board, please do the both of us a favor and don't enter. Not trying to be mean but too often there's a lot of unprofessional looking designs being entered into these kinds of contests.

This list will be updated as we come up with new ideas and scratch old ones off. We didn't want to post our ideas publicly here.

Make sure when you're submitting your designs to watermark them so that no one can come on here and steal them.

I'm also interested in any designs that you may have made specifically for other T-Shirt design contests that I may be able to use. If you have a portfolio of such designs shoot me a PM and if I like a design that you may have done in the past and never sold, I'll buy it from you.

I received a couple of PMs and went with a design seen there so I updated the design list and prize amounts and took that design off the list.

Winner will be posting here stating that he received my payment.

But there are still more winners to come! Just check out my T-Shirt ideas here and submit the ideas on the thread here or PM me any designs that you may have that you think I might be interested in.

I'm liking this one, but don't really know about the text and the special effects used. I like the picture of the character used, but can't quite put my finger on why I don't like how it's stylized.

It's "Bl---est" (leaving certain letters and words out because I don't want Google picking up on this thread if folks were to search for the term I'm using in my shirt.) and I wanted emphasis to be on wording since this shirt will be compared somewhat to what was a highly sensitive issue with H&M use of the phrase "Coolest Monkey".

I don't like there being a background to this design either. Wanted design to standoff on its own.

Not feeling the typeface, although this shirt could be that simple of a design. The font isn't working for me.

 

I'm loving this one a lot! You pretty much nailed it on the first try.

Can I see different fonts possibly? But I like this one a lot.

Could I possibly design similar to this but with the Panther you have in place?

I just wanted to share a sample of a few fonts. Not sure if you wanted inline text (like below) or in a rounded format like my first submission.
If you like one of the fonts below and want to see it on a rounded format please let me know

 

I like 2,3, and 4.

I like 2 and 3 the best but curious about 4 since that look jungle-ish.

I say stick with the rounded format like you originally submitted. Forget the parodying of the example shirt I linked.

 

I'm not liking the effects or the background. I really want this design to look apart from the example I gave somehow, but just now knowing how to explain that. Maybe a more cartoonized version of this pic or something similar. I'm trying to find better examples to give for this on internet.

I love this design! I really like your attempt with this and how simple and plain it is but hammers the point home. Hold off for now because honestly I still like @collegerut's better and waiting to hear back from him.

But this one by far is the best of your submissions and I really do like it.

I like 2 the best but would like to see a border around the cat's face to make it seem as if he's peeking through the hole. Just to see how that looks.

On a side note, this contest is harder than it was a few hours ago, lol.

I'm actually beginning to love @getdomain4u's design more and more.

I'm thinking of calling a tie on this one.

How would you guys feel if I upped the prize amount for this contest to $40 and split it down the middle and pay PayPal fees for the both of you since this one was pretty tough and I thought I had settled on a design but as I got feedback started to consider getdomain's more and more.

@getdomain4u can I see a few font variations with your design please and against a black background as well?
