How much do i charge for a "Wholesale Booking System"

Hi.
A Travel Agent from uk wants a website developed the details required are in the attached file.
I am thinking of developing it using wordpress.
I am from India, and a website like that should cost around $3,500 or more here. I have been charging my customers around $600 and having a problem later with having to do more than I get paid for.
I want to charge him minumum $2,500.
My question is would that sound reasonable enough? how much would you have charged / paid?

Then only you can decide what your time and skills are worth. Though you should be looking at the $5,000+ Mark for this sort of project.

 

I don't see where is problem, you know your hourly rate, tell them how many hours of your work this project is likely to take.

If you want to overcharge then its different story, keep in mind fact that if this agency is looking to hire someone from India rather than someone locally then most likely they want it done as cheap as possible.

 

Well, the prices in the UK are retarded, so there is that gap between the UK and 'as cheap as possible'. They might just not want to pay UK prices. On the other hand, maybe they want it as cheap as possible, in which case I would run away. I would start talking at 10k just to see if that's an option or not.

That is a fair price. Especially, if the website has unique features.

That is the cost of such websites these days. You have to be confident in your skills and services. Don't sell on the website, sell what the website can do. That is how you sell here. You want to sell the benefits of having such website. Once your client sees the potential they will want to pay whatever it takes.

Selling is all about how you present the benefits. It's never really about the product - but what the product can do!
