Should Moz remove DA/PA?

DA/PA is nothing more then a false path indication/prediction. For some, majority
of the people continue to think DA/PA has something to do with google ranking, and
it does not. DA/PA is only a prediction on based on google algorithm, nothing more.

personally, my site has DA19 & PA32, and it simply means very little since
the site is not earning one red cent, and if those numbers should increase
on next update, then it still means nothing if the site continues to make nothing.

Moz is just guessing what your real DA/PA might be...
(and it does not mean MOZ is on target or even accurate....)

only google knows your true DA/PA....
(and they are not telling....)

MOZ DA/PA = ego boosting/false hope....

What do you guys think?

 

I don't think that Moz should remove PA DA. I agree that it has no effect on ranking, however, this is very much useful to identify right sites for link building. It gives you an idea about if the site is good enough to rely upon or not. And we cannot see how Google Ranks us on PA DA, so there has to be some tool to help us with. Moz is the way forward.

 

"Page Authority (PA) is a score developed by Moz that predicts how well a specific page will rank on search engine result pages (SERP)" It is not really about numbers, rather click and sales.
Yes, they say only predicts. I have sites with da35 and pa46 and what? It means nothing, if there is no any sales.

 

You can easily remove/edit the file to take out links you feel are not spam

 

Moz data are not predictable and hence its won't impact your real search engine rankings. My blog's DA and PA is very low, but my blog perform well in search engine result page. In few keywords my blog rank on first page. So, I would not bother too much with MOZ metrics. But I think MOZ won't remove this metric.

 

Moz DA and PA tool checker are only estimation of every website's quality features concerning on pages and domain history.

 

I'd rather count on Majestic's TF or ahrefs product. Moz has always seemed easily gamed.

 

Have never been a huge fan of Moz DA - But its free version works pretty well. Majestic is great if you have the budget for it, think the same goes for Ahrefs, but they don't have their free service anymore - Although always felt their DA's were pretty sporadic.

 

What is good about all these services is at a glance you can get an idea of how strong a backlink profile of a site is. I agree that the measure is not perfect but it quickly gives you an idea if the site you are looking at is a heavy or light weight one.
